The Life Of ZiFi

@ZiFiStripClub

The past six months have been a whirlwind of adventures, events, and emotions. So many things are happening in my life and career. It can get overwhelming. When I started this blog(in 2010) never did I think I would have come this far. But here I sit at home in Las Vegas writing at night with my Starbucks, just as I used to in Eugene, Salem, Portland, and Sacramento.

We may evolve, but our habits are what make or break us!

@ZiFiStripClub

In the past year, I have spent an incredible amount of time alone writing. I have attempted and accomplished things I never expected to achieve in such a short time frame. In the past six months, I have published two ebooks on Amazon and iTunes. Finding a book editor who can deal with my kind of crazy is priceless. Goals I made many years ago are now manifesting into tangible products. It is exciting to have something you love and are passionate about finally become real.

@ZiFiStripClub

Speaking of real, I also had breast augmentation surgery in December to replace my implants. This was unexpected and due to medical issues with the first set, but I am loving the results. I am so happy I had the surgery done again. My range of motion with my arms is better and I am no longer cold and in pain. It was quite the ordeal and costly, but so worth how I feel. If you do not feel normal after plastic surgery, listen to your guts and get a second opinion. The best irony is at the time I was just finishing my first book So You’ve Got New Boobs Now What? A Guide To Recovery.

@ZiFiStripClub

Life throws us curve balls in the most bizarre forms sometimes. Now I have a small car invested in my chest and two ebooks published. Due to my surgery I was not able to travel for the holidays, but I could still type(after a few weeks). So, writing my second book A Decade On A Pole was the logical thing to do.

@ZiFiStripClub

So finished Book 1… Had Surgery…Finished Book 2… And AVN Season Begins

AEE and AVN season are one of my busiest times of year. Networking, magazine deadlines, and all the responsibilities of owning and being your own business filled the air. My first full day of walking after surgery was at the AEE at The Hard Rock Hotel. I was in pain and worried I would hurt my new implants, but I went and conquered and completed most of what I aimed to achieve during AVN season. Sometimes things do not work out as planned or expected, but they still work out.

@ZiFiStripClub

After AVN season concluded, I made my way to the Sex Health Expo in LA. It was smaller and more intimate of a convention and my first time attending. I had the opportunity to see Dr Ruth speak. All while blending and being one of the masses. Sometimes it is nice to just sit back and absorb some information. A huge thank you to Scarlett Black for always being a kind face in the crowd. Follow her adventures on Twitter @ScarlettBlackes.

@ZiFiStripClub

Then after a quick trip home to Las Vegas, I changed suitcases and I made my way to Oregon to see family. My little partner in crime is always willing to go along and play in the country. Going “home” to Oregon to where I grew up is intense to say the very least. I have a very hard time making myself actually go. People in small towns think so differently, but at least they are predictable. The disconnect between sex work and “real work” in their minds is a huge barrier. Keeping my clothes on for work did not change this dynamic even within my own family.

@ZiFiStripClub

Overall, my dreams are on the way to coming true and I feel so blessed to be where I have positioned myself. I realized I have neglected writing personal blog posts over the past couple years. This will change starting with this post. Regular personal updates will appear, along with posts from my personal journal over the past year.

I feel like me again… It is time to write!

The Power Of The Truth Corrupts All

penny lane
“It is all happening” ~Penny Lane(Almost Famous)

After realizing words of hidden truths are a powerful tool and the platform I have created add to this power, I am coming to terms with this unique tool I possess. Especially, due to the name of my blog/domain. Finally, I am able to use the stigma of the adult industry to my advantage. The tables are turning in such a drastic way, but I do admit I am loving the change. People have underestimated me since I started writing and I understand it was a long shot for success. However, I have always been one to war for the things I want.

Knowing I possess this rare power is a huge career realization/transformation and something I must learn to use as a tool and not as a drug. For power does corrupt all, even myself at times(for I am just a human too). I find myself wanting to war on life with the truth. However, I have to realize the ramifications of the truth and the collateral damage involved. For example, if I write all the truths about the adult industry, no one in the adult industry will want to work with or associate with Strip Club Journals/Strip Club Journals Unbound etc. However, if I choose wisely which truths to expose/cover then I am going to gain readership and respect within the industry. It all comes down to the old saying, “Pick your battles wisely”. So, I have started a journal of all the truths that I hold back from writing here publicly for safe keeping till I decide which battles I choose to war on. One must act and not react, but one also must be aware of the fact:  just because something is currently not visible does not mean it does not exist.

I have realized my power and the ripple effects I can make. Now is the time to harness this power for my greatest purpose and create some boundaries for my career and my life.

This is the beginning of a beautiful chapter of life where my career will explosively blossom.

Strip Club Journals Unbound Sept-Adulted Nationwide

The VIP Exclusive Fashion Show(http://www.vip-exclusive.org) was held in Tampa, Florida on July 25th. This event was designed for the enjoyment of all by the owner: Terrance Shaw(@Vip_Exclusive). Terrance chose to incorporate all different styles of designers, models, and different types of entertainment than one would normally expect at the average fashion show. This added to the creativity and excitement of the event. Also, specifically the models themselves were of all types:  Short, Tall and Petite. The message Terrance delivered to the audience was, “Dreams can come True!” He started the show off with a very powerful quote by a designer from the VIP Exclusive Fashion Show in Tampa, David President, who has an enlightening story behind his line.

“Walk by faith not by sight.” ~David President.

U.S. Gold and Silver Inc.(http://www.usgoldandsilver.org) sponsored VIP Exclusive Fashion Show in Tampa. Joseph Rainier, CEO of U.S. Gold and Silver, attended the event as an active title sponsor and provided two rings to be awarded to the winners. He takes part in sponsoring events like these, “…to help charities and advance careers of models and designers.” The opportunities at the VIP Exclusive Fashion Shows are also there by design.

“We are known for connecting businesses and models with new opportunities at our events.” ~Terrance Shaw

Terrance Shaw’s willingness to work with a dynamic mixture of models and sponsors creates a melting pot of opportunities. If you are looking for an opportunity to grow and appreciate the beauty in the world, whether a model, designer, or sponsor contact VIP Exclusive Fashion(info@vip-exclusive.com). They hold fashion shows nationwide with upcoming fashion shows soon to be held in Virginia and New York.

The last thing I expected to see at VIP Exclusive Fashion Show in Tampa, Florida was an amazing pole dancer and singer duo. Jacqueline Valdez(@ElegantJacqueline) and Jason Rex began the fashion show setting the tone for the event. Jacqueline Valdez elegantly worked the pole and floor while Jason Rex, a power vocalist, expressed his passion and emotion through song. This dynamic duo was much unexpected. However, it did add to the buzz and excitement of VIP Exclusive Fashion Show, just as Terrance Shaw had anticipated and planned.

Jacqueline Valdez and Jason Rex combined their talents to create Infusion Remax(@InfusionRemax). They have much success to come in their near future with blossoming talent and career minds. Look for them to appear in Vegas soon. They are such a unique collaboration. The talent they have is powerfully raw, rare, and yet amazingly harnessed.

This was the beginning of my adventures for my September column of Strip Club Journals Unbound. I had thought this was going to be my jump into mainstream media. However once I arrived at the fashion show, after an extremely long airport day(DO NOT FLY @AmericanAir & @USAirways #MergerGoneWrong), I realized the need mainstream society has to resemble the adult industry to varying degrees, to which they deem to be acceptable. Everyone wants to feel special and/or fancy. The mainstream just has glamorous misconceptions of the adult/entertainment industry and the lives we actually lead and/or live.

These delusions were put quickly to rest when I traveled back to Oregon to cover the Vagina Beauty Pageant. Add the word vagina to an adult industry event and all of a sudden the glamour is completely taken away. Perhaps, that is how we adult industry people weed the mainstream from some events. Knowing that in doing so it will be a liberal freedom enhancing experience, rather than a shameful experience one must recover from.

Dick Hennessy(@DJDickHennessy) created The Vagina Beauty Pageant six years ago. The name of the pageant alone has given it a stigma that probably makes many national and international writers anxious to touch due to its nature and subject matter. However, this is exactly the kind of event I look for in the adult industry. “Controversy causes readership,” is my motto and going out of my own comfort zone makes me grow as an individual, so this was a win-win situation. I even had to go out of my own comfort zone for this one, a rarity with my own background in the adult industry.

“The fact that I get paid for one of my passions in life is amazing to me.” ~Noel(Eugene, Oregon)

The Vagina Beauty Pageant allowed me to reconnect with some of the strippers I met when I entered the adult industry in small town Oregon. Reconnecting with my roots also made me face just how liberal Oregon remains. The one thing I learned going to one preliminary round and the finale of the Vagina Beauty Pageant was that the first amendment gives women in Oregon strip clubs the right to insert things into themselves. This is a random fact that was burned into my eyes and soul to be remembered forever.

The adult industry never stops amazing me. Yes it is amazing to be a part of it all, but there will always be moments where the adult industry shocks everyone merely by design and nature.
