This election year has been anything but average. It is like the Jerry Springer show of politics. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are the two evils we have to choose from this election year in 2016. As a member of the adult industry who considers this lifestyle a career and a stepping stone, I am scared of the outcome. Not only because of my own job security as a business owner, but also the ability to retain the money I already made literally working my ass off.
Donald Trump appeared in a Playboy softcore porn in the year 2000 and is a businessman. This makes me think that he sees the value of the adult entertainment industry as the billion dollar industry it is and is brave enough to explore his sexuality publicly. Sexuality is a healthy human need. Yes, Trump has said many things lacking tack, but who in the public eye has not? Even I lack tack in my writing and get called out on it. I can only imagine what loudly spoken unpopular opinions would feel like in a presidential election.
Hillary Clinton is a woman who stood by her husband’s side as he cheated on her publicly in an office paid for by tax payers, not just once but in many offices. I do not judge her based on the fact that her husband cheated on her multiple times, but on the fact that she was weak and stayed with him in order to further her political career. This is not a role model we need in the white house. Let alone in the history books as the first woman president. A woman who is a role model to children of the future should not be a doormat. Hillary Clinton’s inaction to leave her cheating husband is a deal breaker, on top of her political ways of telling people what they want to hear.
The adult industry is leaning more Republican than I have ever experienced before. This is unusual because we are quite the liberal bunch, to state it lightly. Perhaps we see through Hillary’s campaign due to her tax reform, which will not help us out as business owners and independent contractors. Who knows how her social issue stances will affect our freedoms(aka livlihoods).
When the adult industry can see the light, we sure hope others can too!
*Even Nevada is being considered a swing state this year!
The webcam industry has gotten a bad wrap for being sleazy not only in mainstream America, but even within the adult industry. However, after talking with two transgender webcam models(TGirls) who were amazingly kind and open I learned differently. This was a rare opportunity due to most webcam studios not allowing TGirls. A big thank you to @The_Real_Klhlo and @KayoFlamez for being so patient and open-minded about my lack of knowledge.
I learned about 90% of the time webcam models are on cam they are not doing anything sexual. This was shocking, but also eye-opening. People have a need for intimacy and the webcam industry is a niche serving that need 24/7, 365 days a year. The webcam industry is a billion dollar industry. Simple economics, but yet in a more controlled environment than other niches of the adult industry.

With all the new technology coming out, Sin City Vixens is already incorporating virtual reality into their studio, which will be up and running by August. Thus, the webcam industry is not going anywhere. The thing about people who rely on the internet for income is they change with the times and quickly in order to stay on top.
Leasing a house in Las Vegas is ten times more difficult than anywhere I have ever lived. The property owners do not put in much effort in upkeep of the rental properties here for obvious reasons. However, some of these homes are worth $400k and up and they still do not maintain them well. Things like heat pumps break because the renter is responsible for the service fee for the warranty of the owner and the owner does not have them serviced between tenants. Thus making the owner able to blame shift onto another company because he is their customer, renters pay just for the service(we are not the actual customer to third-party business). Due to most landlords living out-of-state and owning multiple rental properties, they have businesses/people who maintain the properties for them. Thus, they have the ability to blame shift as they choose.
The catch of it all is most people hate moving. I would rather live in a maintained house and ocd clean it for the whole lease period so I feel like I have security and a home. Unfortunately, Xiaowei Xia(aka Winston Xia) has been one of those out-of-state landlords. Due to all the problems with maintenance and the condition of the property on move in I have to recommend everyone to stay very far away from Xiaowei Xia(aka Winston Xia) from California.
Also, the biggest catch is the way he claimed his last tenant was a 18 year old stripper and talked poorly of her, when we very first viewed the house and there were cigarette or blunt ashes on the wet bar. Thank god he had no clue what I used to do otherwise he may have discriminated against me too! And the sad part is it is cheaper to move than it is to take your landlord to court so they have a corner on the market. This is what made me start writing: the irony of “fancy” people not being held accountable for their actions/responsibilities.
Beware Vegas! There are property owners and landlords out there like Winston Xia(aka Xiaowei Xia) and Liqun Jia.

The past few months have been filled with travels, but unlike usual this time I was not just traveling: I was moving. This means I have had no home for this time period(40 days may seem short, but it felt like a whole separate lifetime). People tend to forget the stress of not having the security of a home, real meals, and sleeping in your own bed. Especially, when they are used to you traveling often. People take for granted what they do not know is sacred until it is taken away. I went from having three homes in two different states to homelessness, half by design and half by life lessons and poor choices. And to top it all off, finances had absolutely no part in the equation.
Finally this past weekend, I moved into my own condo in Vegas. This is the first time I have lived alone since I stripped in small town Oregon. It is extremely ironic, after I disappear for over a year to recover from stripping, people still expect the actions of a stripper out of me. In actuality it is the complete opposite. I just want to write and cook casseroles in my pajamas with my puppy at home. I worked for years in small town Oregon from 10pm-2am almost every night to get to where I am today. People do not see the hard work I have put in to be where I am today and often they take my efforts in vain and/or for granted. No I do not want to go out at night to get drunk and talk to people because that feels like stripping with my clothes on. Who wants to work for free?!? I drank mostly to forget stripping and make it the most profitable experience as possible. Why do people who live ordinary lives expect people in the adult industry to not have the desire or need for a little ordinary too?
